Carriageworks

Sizzling shortlisted entry in the 2011 Australian Interior Design Awards. The Carriageworks by Hare + Klein Interior Design. I'm seriously packing my bags and planning a home invasion. Kitchen is to die for. Love the industrial vibe and the dining room, or is that workroom, is simply perfect. This is not the only shortlisted property by this talented team of designers. I may just have to feature some more!

Too much?

I am a huge fan of industrial touches in a home....but sometimes people should quit while they're ahead. I found this apartment on a site from Israel called bvd, and while I love some of the finishes, all in all it's pretty much a prison cell, but a bit larger. I'm sure there are some men out there who are saying "WOW - that's COOL!!" but I'm sure that sentiment would be short-lived after living here for a while. Your thoughts?

Industrial chic

One more sleep until Christmas!! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend filled with joy and laughter, lots of good food and granny naps. I'm not sure what Jo's plans are for blogging (I've missed her on MSN the last couple of days) but I'm going to go ahead and say I likely won't be blogging tomorrow or Sunday. So enjoy yourselves, but first, I'd love to show you this home I found on the website of French magazine Le Journal de la Maison. I LOVE this home. The owner seems to love natural materials and flea market finds, particularly with an industrial vibe (me too!!). I was drooling over each one of her funky light fixtures (hello Jielde!). See you all soon!!
