Industrial chic

One more sleep until Christmas!! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend filled with joy and laughter, lots of good food and granny naps. I'm not sure what Jo's plans are for blogging (I've missed her on MSN the last couple of days) but I'm going to go ahead and say I likely won't be blogging tomorrow or Sunday. So enjoy yourselves, but first, I'd love to show you this home I found on the website of French magazine Le Journal de la Maison. I LOVE this home. The owner seems to love natural materials and flea market finds, particularly with an industrial vibe (me too!!). I was drooling over each one of her funky light fixtures (hello Jielde!). See you all soon!!

***Update: speaking of industrial/thrift finds, check out this post on my page for my latest find!

Thanks, this is my favorite style. It is easy to afford and acquire pieces and also very personal. To me it feels unpretentious and honest.

Happy Holidays Kim, Jo, all DTI readers and their pets (on furniture, of course)! Desire to Inspire always brightens my day. It's never snarky or mean spirited. Nice. Yay!

love this house! have a fantastic christmas!

Owow Gorgeous! I can completely imagine throwing pops of color in there to change with the seasons. When you start with such a simple palette, there's no telling where a little love can take this space. Love your blog guys- I'm a fan! Happy Haute Holidays!

I want my house to look like this! Quiet color schemes with warmth from textures and pops of nature. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Especially the two kitchens up top.

It looks very much like the Restoration Hardware I went into last weekend. A part of me really loves the look, but I don't think I could bear to have so little color in my home.
