A home in Madrid

Here is another home by Spanish interior designer María Lladó. I adore the colour palette of burgundy, mustard/gold and black. Classy without being too brash.

Just because ...

... they are so beautiful. Inspiration today comes from the stellar portfolio of food and lifestyle photographer Brett Stevens. OMG! The colour, the pure saturated colour and don't get me started on the lighting, the composition, the angles. It's official. I have a new photographer crush and these shots are of ... food vignettes. Beating heart, short of breath, slightly feverish and not a wide angle room shot in sight. Can a table full of tomatoes be sexy? Can a bowl of cake mix make me weak at the knees? Can I smear that blue all over my body like a woad warrior? Dreaming of colours and textures, mixing and marrying for new room inspirations. Beauty is everywhere and today it is here captured through the lens of Brett Stevens.

Maria Lladó

As I mentioned yesterday, I am a new fan of Spanish interior designer María Lladó. She seems to love jewel tone colours mostly on accent walls and in accessories, and she brings together such a variety of styles of furniture (most of which looks vintage). In the end her spaces seem effortless, fun and casual. She makes me forget how much I love neutral decor. :)

A vacation home in Spain

I found this gorgeous vacation home located in Cantábrico (northern Spain) and fell in love. It's just the right amount of funky vintage furniture, doses of bold colour against white walls, and WOW do I love the tile floor in the kitchen! The interior designer is María Lladó, and I have got to blog her this week as I am her new biggest fan. Via Nuevo Estilo.

Reader's home - Janelle's tropical oasis

It seems Apartment Therapy is having a Room For Color 2012 contest, and photographer Janelle has entered her home. The tropical colour palette she went with in her new home began with her obsession with the colour aqua (and moved into mustard, grey and lime), and the purchase of the Dandelion Clocks wallpaper by Sanderson for the dining room. Beautiful bold but soothing colours. LOVE! Also loving her MASSIVE vintage camera collection...and she clearly loves her pooch. :-) You can vote for Janelle here (if you don't want to create an account with AT you can sign in with Facebook).
