Julia Green

Did you love the styling for the Inside Out feature on Steve and Helena Trupp of Empirical Style in the last post? As soon as I found out it was by Julia Green of Greenhouse Interiors I hot footed it over to her website and oohed and aahed. Vintage + colour + collections + layers + crafted and found = a quirky, fun, vibrant and down right happy portfolio. Rooms full of treasure without being "precious'. Just the way I want to live!

47 Park Avenue update

I have about 10 minutes slotted do get a post done for today. I spent the day yesterday helping my sister and her husband close up the cottage (BOO HOO!) as fall has suddenly arrived (30°C drop in temperature in 3 days) and today I am going to check out the Glebe House Tour in between chores and blogging (I heard yesterday from the owners of this house that their master bathroom was done on Friday - can't wait to see it!). Without any real plans for for today's post, I immediately thought of 47 Park Avenue, one of my favourite blogs. I featured Michael and Jonathan's blog and home back in March, and I always look forward to updates on their latest finds (they are masters at finding the coolest vintage pieces) and how they are incorporated into their gorgeous home. So without further ado, I give you some of the latest photos of their inspiring home.

A bit of colour goes a long way

I have been on a neutral kick lately but I do appreciate when designs incorporate a bit of rustic with splashes of colour. This 97 m² apartment in the south of São Paulo, Brazil blends both beautifully. (Via Casa.com.br)

A jewel of a hotel

Check out this fabulous Pasadena hotel designed by Southern California interior designer Julie Khuu. I adore the jewel tones, and I love the idea of staying in a hotel whose decor is super glamourous and almost over-the-top - because I love the idea of spending time in a hotel that is on the opposite ends of the spectrum of home. (Anyone feel me here?) I'll let you read the details on Julie's blog and I'll provide you with the eye candy. :)

double g

Oh goodness! Oh double goodness. Double gosh. Double great and double double got to have. Two French apartments, St. Honoré and Faidherbe by Parisian architects Flora de Gastines & Anne Geistdoerfer of double g. Sophisticated and contemporary, colourful and clever. I'm hyperventilating I love these spaces so much.
