Design Nehez

Val Nehez and JJ Fox make up the Philadelphia/NewYork interior design firm Design Nehez. I freaked when I came across their portfolio. One word - WOW! Their spaces are creative, bold, fun and perfectly accessorized. They have a couple projects in particular that caught my eye - a mid-century makeover (with a to-die-for kitchen) featured after the jump and the bright, modern home in the first several photos. AWESOME LIVES HERE! (Check out the bread tab art installation below!)

Terrat Elms

"Terrat Elms was founded on the principal that successful design is not about just making something beautiful – it’s about helping clients build an experience they love, and never want to leave. It’s about mixing new and old, expensive and everyday, the crazy fun and seriously sentimental. It’s about opposing the typical and falling for the unconventional."

Yes, true but still crazy beautiful. Dee Elms and Andrew Terrat are the Boston based design duo behind these wonderful homes. Inspiration, aspiration and fabulous.

When my house grows up it wants to be this house

Drama. Dark rich drama. Style and panache. Subtropical gardens and a grand old house that has grown and evolved over the generations. On trend and reported to be in an upcoming interiors magazine, this Byron Bay house is my latest real estate stalking target. I've been seduced and I think you will be too. There is very little I would change. Dark  walls, fuchsia pink coffee table, rich green sofas and sparkling chandelier. Yes please. Kitchen and family dining, perfect for my needs. The hallway is an entrance to paradise. (Calm down Jo.) Perhaps we should arrange an inspection to see just how good it is in person. Byron Bay here we come! Link here while it lasts.

That house

Hands up who hasn't seen Sisley cosmetics Christine d'Ornano's London home. Hands up who hasn't drooled over the blue velvet doors and yellow chairs of "that" dining room/library. Hands up those who missed the m,any interiors magazine features including Elle Decor. The paintings, the OTT 70s floral fabric bedroom walls, the overstuffed sofas and modernist chairs. I love that house. So I was overjoyed to see Joanna Henderson's interpretation of the rooms. I think this talented British photographer's images truly capture the everyday beauty, the family style, the livability of this fabulous home. Relaxed and casual but very, very special.

Joanna Henderson

Speechless. No words. These photos. Amazing. Wait. Let me try. The soft light, the rich colours, the wonderful, casual vibe. It's an interpretation, an understanding, an appreciation of beauty. British photographer Joanna Henderson. Considered and enchanted, captured through a lens.
