Working on a Saturday

It's a conspiracy you know. Why do I have to work on a Saturday and others do not? Not fair I say, not fair. Now if I worked at the Detour Office - Grove Street by Dehn Bloom I wouldn't complain at all. In fact I'd settle right in and never leave. That sitting area is better than my living room.

A handsome SoHo loft

From a bit feminine in my last post, to a bit masculine with this space. This SoHo loft designed by J+G Design is stylish and functional with blue accents added throughout. I can imagine the male homeowner waiting for Jennifer and Georgie to leave after having these photos taken, then immediately tossing in the trash all those flowers and branches and wondering why in the hell there are 8 pillows on the damn sofa. ;)

Camilla Molders Design

The bold and the beautiful. That's what I should have called this post. Melbourne-based interior designer Camilla Molders creates clean-lined, contemporary rooms with something extra. Bold colour, bespoke fixtures and furniture, beautiful textiles and her signature custom rugs. "Every project I work on is different as every client is different and being their home, it should be a space that truly suits them and their lifestyles! My job is to hold their hand, push their boundaries, but still create a space that is inspiring." And they are Camilla ... very inspiring.

Flinders House

A fresh take on a traditional look by Melbourne-based interior designer Adelaide Bragg. This weekender has been given new life with a kitchen and bathroom remodel while a master suite on the first floor provides an adults' retreat within the retreat. A colour palette of blues, whites and neutrals are an extension of the ocean and golf course views.

Here please

I need to be here please ... with a cup of tea and soft music wafting in from another room. There needs to be a light breeze softly blowing through that lovely old blue door and a cat curling round my legs would be welcome too. My computer has blown up and I haven't backed up since May. I'm madly scrabbling to upload and download and survive on a laptop that is so dusty it's embarrassing. At least I know that any room by Sydney interior designer Karen Akers will calm me, uplift me. This is in the kitchen at The Abbey and you can see more of the project here. (Photography by Thomas Dalhoff.)
