Election time in Australia

Yes we're in the middle of a protracted election campaign in Australia. Still 2 weeks until election day. I don't want to show political bias so I thought I'd do a post that combined both major parties, the Liberals (right wing) blue and the Labour Party (left wing) red. So without further ado the red and blue room post!

And mustn't forget the Greens who will probably hold the balance of power in the Senate.

Take the time to check out these super talented photographers' sites. I'll be singing their praises in detail soon.

More palest blue and sea mist green

It's obvious I love these colours. Calming, serene, sophisticated, delicate and subtle. The last in this look at these ethereal hues.

Ethereal hue part 2

More of those faded vintage blues and greens. Can't get enough. Cool and elegant they are evocative of the aquamarine of the sea or the delicate tint of birds' eggs and lend a sense of airiness to a room.

Ethereal hues

Sea foam green and palest blue. I love these faded vintage colours. So evocative. Calm, elegant, other worldly. They’re the perfect backdrop to boho modern, eclectic, vintage found style and even a more relaxed traditional, country or Swedish feel. Barely there blues and sea greens yum!

Colour palette

Sydney architect Scott Weston is well known for his innovative use of colour. His renovation of a Victorian-era terrace is a sea of colour . And what colour! My favourite colour palette at the moment is red and pale blue with accents of black and white.

And here are more red and blue inspirations........
