Stalking number 2

Cottage charm and designer flair. I'm stalking a cute little timber house in Bondi Junction with loads of light, stylish open plan, lovely lush garden and a killer inner city Sydney location. Love the white walls, the Black Japan floors, the quirky stairs here there and everywhere, the light over the dining table and the bedroom bay window. I'm moving in! Link here while it lasts.

Justine Hugh-Jones encore

I feel like diving into these images. Hold my breath, dive through my computer screen and surface refreshed in rooms that hum with vibrancy and personality. Sometimes just a glimpse of something inspiring and beautiful clears my mind and stirs my design soul. Like interior designer Justine Hugh-Jones' new website. Scroll and drink deep, scroll and drink deep. Tumble turn and do it all over again.

Showering in the rain forest

Minimalist in the extreme and as far away from a simple shower in a rain forest as you could imagine but that's all I can think of as I stare in wonder at this bathroom by Dutch interior architects Jasper Jansen and Jeroen Dellensen of i29. The hum of insects and enough humidity from the shower and I'd be there.

Britquirk

Britboho. Britbrash. Britquirk. Brittattered. Britstyle. Homes with personality. Homes that don't take themselves seriously. Homes that look great with kids in them and the remains of last night's boozy dinner with friends left uncleared on the table. Dogs and rambling gardens and wellies and knocks and dings and tarnish and way too much dusting and layers and layers of memories and family treasures. I love Britboho. I love this East Sussex home from locations firm Wilde & Watson. From the front door to the back paddock .... imperfectly perfect.

I wish

I wish there was more time in a day. I wish I lived in a warmer climate so I could experience summer-like weather for more than 3 months a year. Because of these wishes, I am going to be sort of random with my posts on Sundays for the next couple of months. I'll be spending time at my sister's cottage trying to get in as much fresh air, sunlight and warmth as I can (I was there yesterday - it was a blast). Today I have a quick post of a beautiful home featured in Lantliv magazine. I sure wouldn't mind spending my summer here.
On a side note, I have a million chores to get done today but I'm hoping to find time to tweak some photos I took of new items in my home so stay tuned for that later on 'kim's page'.
