Stalking Paddington

Once upon a time, in a land far away, a little blogger girl was too busy to play. Her favourite online game that is. Real estate stalking. I have been so swamped with a couple of secret projects that I have no time to waste on the pleasures of virtual gawking and stalking. No time to peep through the virtual net curtains. Thank goodness for people who are just as addicted to the noble pursuit as I. (That's you Andrea.) Look at this lovely bright, white delight in Sydney's Paddington she found for me. Small but very stylish. The courtyard is fab, the dining room cute, the bath just wonderful and the wine cellar (!) crazy. I can never keep wine long enough to cellar but I just might if this terrace house was mine. Link here while it lasts.

Maddalena's home

Maddalena Cannarsa of extrArchitecture is an Italian architect living in London and this is her recently refurbished flat. Love the light and the period features. Those floors! That wall of wooden windows! A beautiful, fresh Euro/white meets Victorian period features home with splashes of red to heighten the warmth of the wood. Maddalena has cleverly tidied up the wasted space in the original layout allowing her the luxury of a walk in robe in a relatively small one bedroom flat. Wonderful, warm and white.

HeadRoad 1815

Perched high on a ridge with views to infinity this three storey home in Fresnaye, Cape Town by SAOTA - Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects takes advantage of a difficult steep site. Balancing concrete, glass and granite on columns that dig deep into the ground, the architects have opened the building's face to that amazing vista. Such solidity balanced by a desire to run, jump and fly away into the blue.

Stalking the little one that got away

A little studio apartment with a stylish wall unit/seating combo in Centennial Park. The perfect virtual crash pad for my imaginary shopping trips to Sydney. Someone has already snapped it up though. Sold. Link here while it lasts.
