You know how I've been on a bit of a colour campaign lately? Well I fell off the band wagon. White with black accents layered with natural highlights. Yes please. The remodel of a West Village townhouse, built in 1817 by Matiz Architecture & Design in collaboration with Nathalie Goris.
The library, the spare bedroom, the stairs and the walk in wardrobe. Take your pick. This Barcelona apartment was pared back, painted white and reworked by architect Eva Coteman. With a small space clever use of space is paramount.
I love my dark grey living room (you will see more of that in the next post) and hope to have a mostly dark walled house when I am done with it, but really bright and white spaces still do it for me. I often think most Christmas decorations are cheesy, but this home has the perfect minimal amount of non-Christmas-y decorating. This is the bright and bohemian 850 sq ft Toronto rowhouse of Jeannette Seymour who, with help from her sister - stylist and cookbook author Sasha Seymour, decked her halls for the holidays in a very non-traditional way. It has been ages since Jo featured the home of designer Julie Holloway of Milk & Honey Home, so when I happened across the website of her and Anita Darnell's new interior design firm I wanted to share some of their work. It is classic yet fresh and bright with lots of white, and just seems to hit all the right buttons. And WOW, these kitchens! SMEG!!
