Kitchen calm
Fabulous kitchen by Michaelis Boyd. You almost wouldn't want to leave this simple yet stylish space. Until you realise what's outside.

Perhaps I should rename this post "down the hatch". Love the redesign of this home in the small town of Vedbaek in Rudersdal, Denmark by Danish design dynamos NORM.Architects.
P.S. The glass hatch reveals a hundred year old wine cellar below.
Benedicte, a photographer from Norway, had sent photos of her dogs for my Monday's pets on furniture feature a couple of years ago (seen here) and I was smitten with the glimpse it gave into her home. She was going to send me photos of it but ended up having to move quickly. She is now in a new home and appears to have spent alot of time and effort into decorating it (interior design is another passion of hers, and it shows). The result is a beautiful, bright and graphic home with lots of charm and adorable vignettes everywhere. This needs to be in a magazine!
I needed a little pick me up today, something to take my mind off the fact that I am already completely fed up with winter. These spaces are a bit more country/shabby chic than we typically post but a little diversity never hurts. And these photos make me smile, and think of summer and warmth. Thank you California interior designer Alison Kandler for today's virtual vacation.
