Reader's home - Benedicte's bright home in Norway

Benedicte, a photographer from Norway, had sent photos of her dogs for my Monday's pets on furniture feature a couple of years ago (seen here) and I was smitten with the glimpse it gave into her home. She was going to send me photos of it but ended up having to move quickly. She is now in a new home and appears to have spent alot of time and effort into decorating it (interior design is another passion of hers, and it shows). The result is a beautiful, bright and graphic home with lots of charm and adorable vignettes everywhere. This needs to be in a magazine!

Thanks so much for the feature and the kind words. That made my day :)

Black doors! I have been thinking about black doors of late. There are some beautiful ones on the Darryl Carter design site in high gloss. That was the direction I was heading, but now that I see these in a matte finish I am torn... (http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/for-your-home/darryl-carter-colors-accent-dark). Definitely a 'first world' decision.

Matte black is ALWAYS better. ALWAYS.

Woah, this is so fun, colorful and girly. The black, white and pink are gorgeous!

I love her clean but playful way to combine black and white. I always admire people who are "brave" enough to introduce white floors into a high traffic living space.

Intereresting und unique home. The dining table seems

seems to small for 4 persons, but maybe it is just tea table?

Thank you so much for the nice comments. I really appreciate it.

Ombia - Thank you. :) The table isn't very large, but big enough (for us) for what we use it for (cake and coffee mainly). It's not a tea table, but a smaller dining table I would say. Our main dining table is the one in the kitchen :)

Benedict, PLEASE tell me where you got the small cake and coffee dining ensemble. The one with the black and white chairs, the round white table with the grey tips on the legs, the vase on the tabletop. I love it. No, really... please tell me. Beautiful job throughout.
