Some white for your Tuesday

I was recently devouring the website of  Danish stylist and writer Katrine Martensen-Larsen and came across the most wonderful home that is bathed in white. It is the flat of Danish designer Nina Kejser and her Italian husband Mario Iadanza in the small town of Charlottenlund just north of Copenhagen. Most of the furnishings are modern but I love that they've added some vintage pieces here and there to add interest. I am becoming more and more in love with neutral spaces and this one really does it for me, and it's styled perfectly by Katrine and photographed by Mikkel Adsbøl. Nacho Polo

Black and white, yin and yang, stark simplicity and stylish furnishings, Florida interior designer meets Madrid home. Nacho Polo takes a limited colour palette and creates high drama. White floors don't have to mean Boho or Scandinavian. Here they are the base of a cool sophisticated space. (Last three images are magazine tear sheets from Nacho Polo's press section. Just a glimpse of a glamorous kitchen and I just had to include the b&w striped powder room. Room lust!)

Teeny tiny, white and shiny

  

Could you live in 2 rooms with a bath? Something as teeny tiny as this 47 square metre apartment in Göteborg? It's white, it's light and of course it's a home styled and for sale through Alvhem Mäkleri & Interiör.  Think modern living meets great bones in a historical building with a great position. Small though, very small. I think I could - if I gave up the husband and the guide dog :)

  

Georgian country house

Here's a little peak into the family home of UK writer Polly Kelly. The home features a large Georgian house, a coastal beach hut and New England-style stable. It's gorgeous and is featured on many pages of Atlanta Bartlett's book "easy elegance" (photographed by Polly Wreford), and is available for hire for photo shoots. Each space has so much character, charm and such wonderful bones (the stone and wood floors = YUM!!!) that you could easily pull off any number of styles, like Polly has.

Whitewashed beauty

Everyone needs a special place to relax and unwind - be it a windowseat or a little reading corner somewhere... Well, the following home screams (in a very soft, peaceful voice LOL) serenity from every square inch. It's a whitewashed Gustavian home that is devoid of almost all colour (might drive me mad after a bit of time tho') and would be an incredible place to escape to.
