Can I live here PUHLEASE?!?!

I found this home on Contemporist and had to re-post it here because I am completely in awe of the architecture. It's mind-blowingly AWESOME. And inspiring because Jeff and I are in the process of researching architects for the work we want to do to my ok OUR home and I would love to something even one iota as creative as this. The space was created by Spanish architect Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez and is the attic space of an early 20th century building in Madrid. It's composed of several different levels and angles yet it's continuous which makes the space appear much larger than it is (it being all white helps too)....and frankly, WAY more interesting. It's just plain NEAT-O.

A pretty Danish home

I love this beautiful 1911 villa - home to a couple with 5 children - in the Danish town of Frederiksberg. It's serene, simple and bright. Styled by Katrine Martensen-Larsen (other posts of her work here and here) and photographed by Stuart McIntyre (previous post here).

The king of white

Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz is the king of white spaces. White is his trademark and it's incredible how he can mix so many shades of white, off-white, cream, beige, ivory, eggshell....and make it WORK. The result is sophisticated and absolute drama. Below is a home in Sagaponack, New York that he designed, go figure, all in white. (See past posts of his work here and here).

Neutral perfection

When I found the following home on AT Casa my heart just melted. I am craving neutrals these days and this home REALLY does it for me. Beautiful natural fabrics, everything bathed in whites and greys, all giving an air of romanticism and serenity. *SIGH* It's PERFECT. (Photos by Andrea Martiradonna)

Stalking in Sweden (again)

I couldn't stay away. I just had to go stalking through Swedish real estate sites. From Alvhem Mäkleri & Interiör  - the look is almost their brand. White floors, cute accessories, the pop/splash/flash/dash and dollop of colour, a classic scandi piece or two and the obligatory pair of discarded fashionable shoes and dress on the hanger. The story that the styling tells lures you in. You want the lifestyle as much as the apartment. If you could you'd buy this home, live this life. Mission accomplished.
