Swedish eye candy

What is it about Swedish homes and Swedish real estate websites? Look at this fabulous 2 level apartment. White, just enough old with new, obviously a great location, a balcony for more than just a couple of chairs ... think party for all your friends, a brick wall to die for, cool spiral staircase (perhaps a liability with all those balcony parties) and lots of light shining in. Check out the wall of mirrors surrounding the flatscreen. Clever idea. I have a new real estate website to stalk, Eklund. Link for this apartment here. Prices will make your hair curl but it's good to dream. (More after the jump.)

While I recup...

Hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend spent with family and eating great food and lotsa chocolate (like Jo). I spent the last half of it with a really REALLY bad stomach virus that was passed around to most members of my immediate family. Good times. I haven't eaten since dinner Saturday so I'm hoping my appetite comes back (maybe not full force though!). That being said I'm a bit behind in my blog research but I did manage to find a classic Swedish flat that I really like for it's ethnic and modern touches, loads of comfort and great built-in storage.

Stalking in Sweden (again)

I couldn't stay away. I just had to go stalking through Swedish real estate sites. From Alvhem Mäkleri & Interiör  - the look is almost their brand. White floors, cute accessories, the pop/splash/flash/dash and dollop of colour, a classic scandi piece or two and the obligatory pair of discarded fashionable shoes and dress on the hanger. The story that the styling tells lures you in. You want the lifestyle as much as the apartment. If you could you'd buy this home, live this life. Mission accomplished.

Rockin' retro style

I love the reto style of this home styled by the fabulous Katrine Martensen-Larsen (and photographed by Kira Brandt). It's home to Swedish Christin Johansson, her husband Henrik Roloff and their two young children. A fun mix of vintage retro furnishings and funky ceramics, this home has colour and spunk, a nice change from typical Swedish homes.
