The Farmhouse at Wilderness Reserve

Wilderness Reserve consists of 5,000 acres of gorgeous landscape in Suffolk, England containing a unique collection of restored manors, cottages, a farmhouse - all available to book for what would be a very unique stay. I am completely smitten with the Farmhouse. Formerly the estate's home farm and without doubt its oldest property, the Farmhouse sits in the heart of the hamlet within the estate's Arcadian pleasure grounds. Downstairs, the central triple-height hall opens up to a beamed sitting room with comfy sofas, inglenook fireplace and fluffy throws as well as the large kitchen & dining room. Two of the six en suite bedrooms are the on the ground floor and the rest are discovered up an oak staircase with its bridge across the hall. Everything here is SO pretty! That pink!!!! (Thanks for the link Edward!)

A country farmhouse inspired by Ibiza

Dream home people! DREAM. HOME. Built in 1900, this country farmhouse wasn't in terrible condition upon purchase two years ago it but was definitely in need of work, including full kitchen and master bathroom renovations. The original features of the house were preserved where possible: wood floors, fireplaces, and exposed structural beams in the kitchen are all put on display. New cement tile in the foyer along with natural stone tile floors in the kitchen were added. Inspired by the clean, rustic style typical of the architecture of Ibiza, the kitchen cabinets are custom-made tadelakt with reclaimed wood doors, both features enhancing the history of the home while allowing the comfortable, modern lines and light texture of NF Interiors signature style to sing. Moving upstairs, one of the bedrooms was reworked as a luxurious master bath, serving both bedrooms on the top floor. Custom plaster-finished walls, natural stone floors, and a marble and bronze vanity enhance the bucolic feeling of this serene sanctuary.

A cabin in the woods x 2

I am sitting here blogging listening to city busses whizzing by, helicopters landing, ambulance sirens (I live across from a hospital) and the kids next door screaming and I need to remind myself why I love city living. Especially when there are beautiful, rustic dwellings like this around where all you hear are the sounds of crickets and birds chirping. I couldn't decide between these two so you get both. Beechwood Farm in Alabama followed by McIlvain Farm in St. Simon's Island, Georgia, by Summerour & Associates Architects.

A 1400s Tuscan farmhouse gets a modern makeover

Take an ancient stone farmhouse in Tuscany - add some subtle modern additions then furnish it with some art deco style furniture with accents of brass and some glamorous glass light fixtures. What you end up with is one of the dreamiest homes I have ever seen. Via Bo Bedre, photos by Monica Spezia.
