I had to share one more project from Serge Castella. A mountain shack with ancient stone walls and heavy beams filled with mid century classics and a modular sofa by a fire that is calling a siren song. "Come to me Jo. Throw your design weary bones down upon me and snuggle in those covers." I, of course, have no resistance. I love this space.
I love everything about this California house designed by architect/designer Eric Olsen. There's the understated dark exterior, the semi-dark-painted kitchen with awesome upper display shelving, the wood stack in the dining room and modern mismatched chairs, the creative paint job in the bedroom, the tile in the bathrooms and the backyard oasis. Dreamy!!!
Love the juxtaposition of old stone and modern glass in this conversion in the ancient city of Safed, Israel by Henkin Shavit Architecture & Design. The history is palpable. The future is present.
I have warm, paradise-style locations on my mind as my winter holiday to Puerto Vallarta is booked and I am already sick of this dark, gloomy and cold weather. This island getaway in Ibiza has me dreaming about all the things I miss in winter and makes me want to cry it is so beautiful. Natural and earthy, rustic and raw, textured and tranquil. Monday already? Where did the weekend go? If I had my way I'd be on permanent vacation in this colourful and quirky home in Ibiza by interior decorator Luis Galliussi. Just looking at these pictures puts a smile on my face. So much fun. Can you imagine what it would be like to actually be there? That will be my happy thought as I face the coming week.
