If I owned the pool in the first few pictures I'd be ecstatic. Bold contrasts, lush foliage and a glass edged pool transform a small inner city space into a tropical retreat. Fabulous urban gardens by Sydney landscape firm Garden Life.
The good things in life can often be the simplest. Family, friends, shelter, water ... the beach, fun and a view ... sun and shade and nothing to do but relax, chill. Sitting squarely in the sand this concrete and tile house is as stylish as it is distilled to the minimum for a fabulous beach holiday. McMansion beach shack just behind the sand dunes on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. Concrete and steel, bunker with pool, white with waves and all with easy clean floors to help sweep away the sand that you trek in from the beach beyond the rising wall of thickly vegetated dunes. The sound of the waves crashing will barely reverberate through the concrete slabs and the world is shut out from the street with high fences and a turned back but throw those window walls wide open and there it is, your private oasis. She is a house in the Southern Bahia area of Brazil and the daughter of the home's designer Jan Eleni. Casa Lola means Lola's House. It also means perfection. Oh what a house! Rustic and white. Cool and casual. Relaxed and boho chic. This wonderful home has been popping up on a couple of blogs but, my oh my, I couldn't resist. Even better than dreaming about it? It's available to rent.
Contemporary home with water views. That's how the real estate ad should go. It would if I was writing it. Real estate stalking the suburbs of Melbourne. A clean contemporary look. A modern home for a modern family. This is one home I think would look great in a magazine shoot. I'm sure a good photographer and stylist could make this hoe look so much more inviting.
