Phillip K Erickson, at it again

You may remember this home I blogged a couple of months ago that was submitted by photographer Phillip K Erickson. He kindly emailed to let us know about one of his latest projects, called The Maryland. As usual Phillip's awesome photography makes this relatively dark and moody home appear dramatic and SO intriguing. (I am in love with the built-in surrounding the stove).

Reader's home - Scott's pad in Tel Aviv

I've got a great reader's home for you all today. It belongs to interior designer Scott of Talmon Design, and here are some details:
The apartment is 135 square meters (1435 square feet, give or take). It is on the 9th floor of a building in Tel Aviv. The apartment is mine as is my design. The apartment underwent a renovation, knocking down walls, putting up walls and total reno of the bathroom pictured. The only room that was not renovated is the kitchen. The overall design is modern masculine (I'm partial to mid-century modern design) and layered with some antique pieces. The sofa, arm chair and white console table are my design. The sofa is of course inspired by the Florence Knoll sofa. The two light blue velvet armchairs are a vintage store find from Italy circa 1950. The coffee table is from Crate & Barrel and the white owl lamp is from West Elm. The side table is a Tulip. On the wall is black grass cloth wall paper. The wood and glass cabinet which houses the bar was found at a second hand shop and the lions head above it was a find in an antiques shop in Jerusalem. The room with the orange chair is my studio (I work from home). Master bedroom - the art work above the bed is mine. The bathroom is attached to the master bedroom. The original bathroom was completely torn out as I wanted something sleek and contemporary but still retaining a traditional feel, hence the subway tiles. (Photo credit: Shy Epstein). I love the sophisticated, masculine vibe of Scott's place - and his adorable Frenchie manages to blend with the rug!

Miami loft

Check out this swanky pad by Toronto's Prototype Design Lab: Miami Loft was designed for a celebrity client. This residence has incredible spanning views of the local beach front on two sides and has a bespoke quality to its interior design. Juxtaposition between the more traditional design features and the more modern and sleek components such as the bedroom media unit and master bathroom vanity come together elegantly in this project.  This characteristic also renders the space dreamlike as well as a perfect entertainment space. Every element has been custom designed to the smallest detail to fit the particular needs of our client and his desires and habits. SWEET!!!

Ultimate bachelor pad

In keeping with the maculine/bachelor pad theme, the following "man cave" in Sao Paolo, Brazil was created by architect Carol Leães and it's a pretty sweet space that any dude would be proud to call home. Complete with pool table and Porsche book strategically placed on the coffee table.

Leclair Decor

Back in September I blogged the home of local Ottawans Sacha and Melissa who were launching a new interior decorating business, Leclair Decor. It seems this new venture has taken off and they sent along photos of their latest project dubbed Ogilvie Condo. I'll let you read the juicy details on their blog, but this condo is the perfect for the first home of a young male professional. Quite the bachelor pad with oodles of modern funkiness. Love all the wallpaper - brings in so much texture without being too bold. Fantastic job Sacha and Melissa!
