An apartment by Tavares Duayer Arquitetura

I came across this apartment by São Paulo architecture firm Tavares Duayer because BLACK, BRICK, CONCRETE, SUBWAY TILES...all of which results in a really cool industrial, masculine-vibe space. The black windows and doors are a nice touch too. The decor is well done too, but I would change out the light fixtures everywhere but the enamel kitchen pendants.

A conceptual apartment - dark and industrial

I have such respect for people who are talented in the area of graphics. I had to take a graphics course in college for my computer science diploma and it was BRUTAL (you have no idea how long it took me to create a 3D cube and make it rotate). Denis Krasikov is not only a very talented CG artist but his interior design concept for this masculine, industrial apartment for a chief editor of a Russian gaming magazine is equally as impressive. And yes, I love the hallway tile. :)

Stuff...and things

Minimalists beware. This British warehouse conversion available through The Modern House (designed by 6a Architects) may induce heart palpitations and shortness of breath. It is FILLED to the rafters with STUFF. And THINGS. And more stuff. And I am afraid to admit this....but I kind of like it. Except for the kitchen. A kitchen with that much clutter would drive me mad. I am however, feeling some plant envy. Details can be found here

The element of surprise

I love the element of surprise in a space. A modern chair pulled up to a early 1900s wooden desk. A graphic piece of art hanging above granny's old rocker. A sleek glass dining table with an antique brass chandelier hanging above. I laughed when I stumbled upon these photos.

The loft space is heavenly but anyone with no sense of imagination would then fill it top to bottom with industrial decor (ok, this is probably an ad for Restoration Hardware or something similar so they can get away with it). I'll forgive those responsible as I freaking LOVE those chesterfields and all that exposed brick.. (Photos by Scott Gabriel Morris)

A bit masculine, a bit industrial

I am very fond of this London home currently for rent via Domus Nova. The exposed brick walls, the wide plank flooring on the downstairs level and the black herringbone flooring upstairs, and the industrial vibe of the kitchen are all fantastic features that will surely have this place becoming occupied in no time.
