Alain Brugier
The more photos I come across from Brazil, the more I want to finally visit this gorgeous country. The landscape is breathtaking, and it's inhabitants seem to be a creative, non-trend-following bunch of really cool people (holla at all our Brazilian followers!) . After having a looksie through the portfolio of photographer Alain Brugier, I am putting a trip to Brazil high on my bucket list.
Escala Arquitetura
Carolina Escada and Patricia Landau are the talent behind architecture and interior design firm Escala Arquitetura, based in Rio de Janeiro. Whether their clients are into contemporary, retro or modern design, they've got it going on. I must mention that I am head over heels in love with the sofa in the photo above. Classic lines with modern upholstery in my favourite colour.
Knockers
I came across the portfolio of Brazilian interior architect and designer Diego Revollo and was immediately drawn to this apartment (apparently owned by a stylist). I love the funky, dramatic vibe and I'm a huge fan of BIG BOLD artwork. Although in this case it's....all boobs. To each their own I guess. I would never be able to have my little nieces and nephews (or my parents?) over without feeling totally awkward. But I do admire their collection. Very cool stuff (especially the piece - a macramé Mona Lisa? - hanging over the bed).
Maristela Gorayeb
I was pleasantly surprised when I came across the portfolio of Brazilian interior designer Maristela Gorayeb. Her style is a favourite of mine - a mix of ethnic and modern. She works with each, and the 2 in conjunction, so beautifully. It's about neutral backdrops with jewel tones pops of colour and lots of textures and patterns. Maristela's vibe is not for minimalists nor die-hard modernists. :)
