Stalking small on a grand scale

I can't help it. I'm still stalking. Still stalking Potts Point in Sydney. Still stalking small apartments. Still stalking the urban cool or in this case the urban sophisticated. A wonderfully dark, masculine space by interior designer Darren Palmer. Luxe finishes. Luxe living. Definitely high end in a wonderful art deco building in the heart of the action. Link here while it lasts.

Even the urban cool have sofas

A few days ago I posted an edgy inner city pad by Nicholas Gurney. Comment was made about the lack of a sofa and a TV. Back came the retort that a funky inner city type would be so busy leading a funky inner city life that he wouldn't need a sofa or a TV. Now the apartment is for sale (here) with just a few more photos that we haven't seen already and gee whiz what  do I spy? Sofa, TV and a table and chairs. So was it a case of furniture out for the judging of the Australian Interior Design Awards 2013 or furniture in for the real estate listing photos? Do the urban cool have sofas? ;)

Bright and bold ...

... and Brazilian. Apartment living that is fun and fab. I love the design coming out of Brazil. A mix of cutting edge contemporary and retrolicious with a riot of colour and art. It's young and fresh and fun. Residence Canario by Maurício Arruda.

Irving's home

Perched above the streets of New York is the home of Irving Diaz-Burg. "The apartment is in a new construction, utilitarian high-rise building by Toll Brothers' located at 110 Third Avenue, with floor to ceiling windows and amounts to a well-considered 850 square feet," writes Irving who works in  architecture as a Project Coordinator and Marketing Manager. It's not hard to see how Irving has honed his fabulous sense of style. "I have been working in high-end architecture and interiors for a number of years.  I was an art history major with a practical background ranging from furniture specification, to whole event planning to assisting project managers on all levels of organization and project actualization.  This has been a great outlet for my creativity, organizational and social skills ..." What a wonderful contemporary apartment Irving! Super stylish living in the Big Apple. And for all the readers who will want to know what and where and how to get their hands on various pieces in the pictures you'll find a comprehensive resource list here. You wouldn't expect anything else from a Project Coordinator ;)
