Stalking a stylish renovation of an art deco apartment in Double Bay, Sydney. Tastefully restrained with water views and drowning in beautiful light. One little surprise though. The ensuite or rather where the owners have built it. Balcony bathing anyone? Perfect for the exhibitionists. The rest of us can roll down the blinds. Link here while it lasts.
Maddalena Cannarsa of extrArchitecture is an Italian architect living in London and this is her recently refurbished flat. Love the light and the period features. Those floors! That wall of wooden windows! A beautiful, fresh Euro/white meets Victorian period features home with splashes of red to heighten the warmth of the wood. Maddalena has cleverly tidied up the wasted space in the original layout allowing her the luxury of a walk in robe in a relatively small one bedroom flat. Wonderful, warm and white.
Combine a wall of bright yellow framed windows, an expansive view of a leafy green canopy and abundant light and this apartment renovation by São Paulo based AR ARQUITETOS would brighten anyone's day. A clever "wall of cubes" allows the light to penetrate further into the kitchen while providing much needed storage without heavy walls closing in the otherwise open plan public spaces. Living here would be sunshine yellow everyday!
I'm real estate stalking apartments and look what I found. A beautifully calm and restful art deco era flat in Double Bay, Sydney. White, bright and minimal but still with period features. Who needs clutter when simple and stylish can give such a zen like appeal. Link here while it lasts.
Just a short hop away from my last post and I'm taking a virtual tour of an apartment in a warehouse conversion in Fitzroy North. Historic facade and modern interiors with tall walls of glass to take in the inner city views. Love the winding stairs climbing to the top floor where the current owners have created a wonderful office space. What a great space to work. Which one does it for you?
