The dark side

I got home late. The sun was down. I couldn't find my tripod. I had to use flash. The floor is dirty. Etc, etc, etc. Still couldn't take a decent photo. It looks fabulous in real life. Dodgy in this out of focus flash photo. Think I'll wait until the weekend. Clean up. Move some furniture in and snap again. Welcome to the dark side.

P.S. That board across the corner is the old clothes hanger. Think wooden pegs shaker style.

UPDATE: I got home earlier today. Found my tripod. The sun was setting so still not great. I took these photos. A bit better. God those floors need a wash!

Lovely, but speaking of floors, did you ever get any resolution to your floor fiasco?

It's going to be gorgeous and even more so if you move your "brute" rug in. How kind would that be to bare toes in the morning?

Our insurance is paying out on the floors. We had to wait until we painted before we fixed them. Knowing my luck we'd fix them first then the painter would drop something on them. Just kidding Paul the Painter!

Lin I'd love to put the brute up here but my living room floor needs more hiding than this floor. I have some vintage flokatis instead.
