A masculine bedroom (that's tidy!)

I love this bedroom! It belongs to photographer Taylor Hoff, and was captured by Benjamin Grimes. It's so handmade and rustic and OMG organized!!! That's a pretty incredible feat for a guy. LOL!

Bonus: a few more awesome photos by Benjamin Grimes

The Cloud House

Every cloud has a silver lining ... unless it's the Cloud House in Fitzroy North in Melbourne by McBride Charles Ryan. The Edwardian era facade is left relatively untouched out of respect to the existing streetscape. The old house's original interior has been painted white with a carpet of flowers providing the surprise. Linking the old and the new is a red box, the heart of the home, the kitchen. What opens beyond is a fantastical cloud shaped living area. No silver lining though. Warm timbers cocoon the space. Unexpected, child like but meticulously crafted.

Stalking a family beach house

I'm stalking cool today. From its childlike "house" shape to its oak and concrete combo, this home at Barwon Heads, Victoria is colourful, fun and all about modern family living . Love the kitchen, the living dining room, the alfresco decks and who would not want their own skate ramp. Told you it was cool! Link here while it lasts.

Ufogel

Like a UFO landed in an alpine village or a retro caravan stopped in its travels, perhaps a sculptural bird or even a chicken coop perched next to an old timbered farmhouse, Ufogel (UFO plus the German word for bird, Vogel) is a 45 m2 larch wood getaway in the village of Nußdorf in the East Tyrolean region of Austria. Look at the views. It would be like sitting, sipping wine and reaching out to touch heaven. I might not include you in this Monday escape. Hope you don't mind. I'd like to share it with my blind husband. I want to describe every inch of that view.

The bike shop

Part design studio, part bike showroom this small warehouse conversion in Richmond, Melbourne by Auhaus brings whimsy and fun to the streetscape. The timber facade mimics the picket fences of the neighbouring houses and hints at city skylines. The Mondrian style window that replaces a roller door lets in light and frames the views in and out.
