Kitchen of my dreams

It's a big call, dream kitchen, but the Arts and Crafts Kent Kitchen by London-based deVOL Kitchens is the stuff of my fantasies made real. From the shaker-style, dark blue cabinets to the white stone countertops, from the warm woods on the floor, table and island to the industrial lights, this wonderful family kitchen is now the inspiration for my own kitchen renovation in my 1860s home. Perfect, perfect, perfect ... except my room is nowhere near as big ... and I don't have double height ceilings or walls of glorious windows but I do have a brick fireplace and a range, wooden floors and a big imagination.

Still Monday and I need more coffee

If you'd rather start (or in my case continue) your Monday with a hit of caffeine in a dark, albeit stylish cave then perhaps Abbots & Kinney by Adelaide-based architects studio-gram will help you ease into the week. The juxtaposition of old and new here blends really well together. This glorious kitchen is by Blakes London

A rustic home with contemporary style

I have featured projects by Vancouver's Fox Design Studio in the past (here, here and here) and I continue to marvel at their talents at creating contemporary, eye-catching, spaces with incredible attention to detail. Each room in this home shares a similar colour palette of greys and white with touches of black and then pops of blue. It's a soothing, relaxing vibe that flows throughout this beautiful, rustic home. I want those sheep statues on my porch too!

Working on a Saturday

It's on my bucket list to visit if I ever get to New York but can you imagine if this was your workplace? I'd never want to go home. I'd work for free. A florist shop makes me happy even if it's just a blank room and some buckets of flowers but this, oh this is so much more. Saipua, design by Tacklebox Architecture
