Slot House

I love the verticality of this modern extension to a Georgian terrace house. Renovations in the 1980s had left the floorplan confused and ceilings lowered. By inserting a glass infill between the narrow back wing of the house and the neighbour's wall the ground floor now has a soaring double height ceiling while a master suite is reached by an open tread staircase. Slot house by London-based architectural firm Studio Octopi.

Living in a tower

Forget those cabins, how about this 70 ft stone tower in the middle of a forest!! OMG this is absolutely incredible. I could live here forever and ever. The end. (Located in Meriwether County, GA, designed by Summerour Architects

A vintage industrial apartment by artKRAFT

I have lots of love for all things vintage and industrial so I am crushing on this attic apartment in Budapest sent in by the lovely industrial design shop artKRAFT. The furnishings they brought in are pretty awesome, and add in the most amazing windows and herringbone hardwood and I am ALL OVER THIS. I would add some dark paint here and there and some really funky photographic art and VOILÀ! (Photos: FOTODEKO

Swiss Place by Jen Langston

A really good kitchen really makes a home. And that is why I am starting off this post with the kitchen. It is DIVINE. From the flooring (matte black painted wood?) and the amazing stove to those freaking windows!! I DIE FOR THOSE WINDOWS!!! This home is such a lovely blend of styles - a bit industrial, classic, vintage, European, masculine...it all works so well together. I frankly would do anything for that kitchen and bathroom XOXO. Stalking 1

I can't believe how light, how airy this apartment is. Love the old industrial windows, the furniture, that piece of art hanging above the lovely white dining setting, the curves. The whole thing is a hip "cross between art gallery, industrial space, and home". Add the fact that it's in my fav inner-city Sydney suburb of Redfern and sometimes real estate stalking makes me very, very jealous. Link here while it lasts.
