Hump day holiday - part 1

It's Wednesday, hump day, the working week half done but still the promise of the weekend is just out of reach. If we can't escape our everyday humdrum then perhaps we can take a virtual getaway to this simple but oh so stylish holiday home in the sleepy waterside hamlet of Patonga, north of Sydney. Nothing to do but sit back and relax, perhaps a dip in the river followed by a drink on the verandah. It's about wet swimmers and tyre swings, old boats and the hum of summer insects, good books and good friends. Nothing precious except the memories and the objects d'art strewn about. Once a garage, now a studio

In my backyard is a detached garage. It is tilting to one side and is a dumping ground for all sorts of crap. And we can't even fit our car in it.
