Sköna hem eye candy

It's Sunday night, and I need a day to recup from my weekend. As usual. Weekends are just no fun anymore. I pack them with so many house projects and chores (and this time a shopping spree for clothes in Montreal) that I'm just pooped by the end of it. So due to my extreme fatigue and general laziness, I am simply going to choose some of my favourite photos from the latest issues of Sköna hem, one of the coolest mags on the planet that I wish came translated in English and sold here in Canada. That would rock my world.

Whitewashed beauty

Everyone needs a special place to relax and unwind - be it a windowseat or a little reading corner somewhere... Well, the following home screams (in a very soft, peaceful voice LOL) serenity from every square inch. It's a whitewashed Gustavian home that is devoid of almost all colour (might drive me mad after a bit of time tho') and would be an incredible place to escape to.

I love this Swedish penthouse that is up for sale...well, most of it. I'd just lose all the huge, plain and ugly carpets to show off the gorgeous hardwood and do something about the kitchen. The green is icky.

The weekend is here! I am off work today and plan to do not much of anything. I went to visit a Flickr friend's home and AMAZING garden this morning (photos will be posted shortly on my Flickr) and she has totally inspired me to one day create an oasis for myself in my backyard. I've been battling the inside of my home since I moved in and haven't spent much time on gardening (which is ok since it has rained almost every day this summer). I hope to get to it next year. And speaking of inspiration, whenever I need decor inspiration, I can always count on the lovely photos over at Sköna hem to do it for me. Here are some of my recent favourites.
