Hannes Söderland

I will have to make this brief as I am trying to make it out to Rockland Textiles this evening (I prepare my posts the night before) to see about some fabrics for pillows for my DIY sofa. I shall leave you with the lovely photography of Stockholm based (you would guess that by the photos) Hannes Söderland. P.S. This is what I ended up finding.

Another Swedish flat

I am off work today, which is GREAT because I walk to work and I woke up to freezing rain. I just watched in horror as a bunch of people tried to walk down my street and found it easier to climb through the snow than walk on the icy pavement. So YAY for the government's compressed days off!!! I have a busy day planned - painting a couch my boyfriend built for me. Photos shall follow I hope in the next couple of days. In the meantime, I thought I'd do a quick post of a lovely flat I found here. I adore the whitewashed hardwood.

Here are a couple more photos from some other homes listed that stood out. That closet would be a dream come true and I love how they've decorated the hallway. Simple yet eye-catching and functional.

Per Magnus Persson

Not only can Swedes decorate, but they can take stunning photos as well. Per Magnus Persson's portfolio is total eye candy. So much to love here....lots of white of course, beautiful lilac walls, a low bed - my latest obsession, amazing kitchens and the coolest cat I've ever seen.

RB Arkitektur

I thought I was DONE with anything white, as I have just about had it with the snow we've gotten already this winter. But I can handle a bit more white, such as the following photos from the architecture firm RB Arkitektur based in Stockholm, where white was born.

Swedish homes for sale

I found a couple of really great homes for sale on Stockholm real estate site Skeppsholmen. The first is a bit almost country/shabby chic, definitively Scandinavian and totally adorable.

This flat is definitively on the more rustic side. The exposed beams, height of the ceilings and that floating walkway are to die for.
