Damon Liss

Are classy mid-century modern spaces your thing? Then I think you'll appreciate the work of New York interior designer Damon Liss. His portfolio is packed with stunning mid-century furnishings, and some beautiful timber pieces that I'm completely drooling over. It's a step back in time but on the other hand timeless and elegant. Some chair porn never hurts. :)

Beth Coller

She describes herself as Los Angeles based Portrait and Interiors Photographer. I describe her as genius. Her work is crisp and simple yet packed with everything you need to know. Or should I say everything you need to covet especially if your thing is retro. Beautiful use of positive and negative space and colour as punctuation point. Take me away to a retrolicious land Beth Coller.

Atomic

A quirky kitchen and living area for midcentury coffee aficionados. Or should that be addicts? What do I love more? The little coffee making area? The midcentury furniture? The mesh wall divider? A fab design by South Australian interior design firm Koush.

Stalking a classic

I'm stalking one of the first modern buildings in Australia ... Stanhill, designed by Frederick Romberg and built in 1948. On the third floor of this amazing building, part multi-storied urban living, part modernist monument is a 2 bedroom apartment that has undergone cosmetic changes but still harks back to its design beginnings. Want to live in a piece of history? Link here while it lasts. (Thanks Markus!)

Stalking a time capsule

Mix me a martini while I kick off my kitten heels. Bossa nova on the turntable and Bitossi on the shelves. Fabulous for more than 50 years this midcentury dame just needs her make up tidied up, her do back teased and she'll be a smoldering all over again. The North Caulfield, Melbourne house I mean. Not me. Sold hopefully to someone who loves the house not just a developer who wants the block. Link here while it lasts.
