Reader's home

The other day Carolyn emailed with some adorable photos of her English bulldog for the next pet post (stay tuned Monday!), and also sent along some photos of her Victorian home in Leslieville, Toronto. Her house has great bones - some exposed brick, cool angled windows, loft, rooftop deck and her eclectic style brings to it all little bit 'o funk. Thanks for sharing with us Carolyn! (P.S. Although there's nothing wrong with Carolyn's photos, I was shocked to hear she's friends with photographer Virginia MacDonald and hasn't had Virginia photograph it for her!)

Suze's ode to Jonathan Adler

Suze Yalof Schwartz of the blog Dwellers Without Decorators had emailed us a while back looking for curtain inspiration. She emailed again to share with us her fabulous newly renovated New York apartment and OMG did I ever have to share it with you all. It's gorgeous and I love every square inch of it. Her home is very Jonathan Adler-esque (she even met him and told him so!). Here are some photos of her living room which she turned into a combined living/dining space (so she could use the dining room as an office/den). The architecture of this apartment is phenomenal and must have been so exciting to work with. (Decent existing architecture is so hard to find). I am smitten with the wall colour, the trim detail she added to the walls, her Jonathan Adler sofa, her dining chairs...

First, a couple before photos:

And voilà, the after, photographed by Dan Hallman (see more photos of this space and a few other spaces in Suze's home after the jump).

Reader's home

Heide Lender lives in a fabulous San Francisco pad.  Love the white walls and wooden floors, the architectural features, the light ... love the light. I'd kill for her Beni Ouarain rugs and are they Togo sofas I spy? Great kitchen, tolix chairs in the dining room, fab bathrooms and a wonderful space to use as an office. Heidi you have it all! Sadly though Heidi is moving on from her rad pad and wanted us to all die from jealousy, sorry I meant that she wanted to share her remodeled home, before she started to pack it all up. Heidi if I was in SF I'd move in in a heart beat. More reasons to feel jealous after the jump.

Reader's home

Today I wanted to share with you all a little glimpse into the home of Spanish artist Javier Requejo Fernández. Javier lives in Galicia in the north of Spain and creates sculptures out of wire. His designs are so creative and beautiful (check them out on his website). His house is simple and beautiful as well, with many of his scupltures as decor. (Thank you for sharing your home with us Javier!)

Mural love

We received an email a couple days ago that without a doubt had to be shared with you all: "I'm Lady, an advertising creative from Manila and an avid reader and fan of your blog. You've featured our cat Kitty Bang Bang once on Monday's Pets on Furniture. For the past year, my boyfriend and I have been constantly inspired by your featured interiors to improve our new home. Having an artist father, I've therefore asked him to paint a mural on our dining room wall, to break the sparseness of the space." Oh, to have an artist for a father! This mural is fantastic!!! Thank you so much for sharing Lady!
