My Dude. He’s the best. I’m incredibly envious of his napping skills. I’ll be honest... I’m exhausted lately. So ready for a little holiday break. Spent a good part of the weekend crawling around in our garden, securing the fence so this little bundle of love can run around freely again. I got muddy and she was psyched! Ghosts of sofas past. I've been having a funny old time lately, I feel like in the last 6 months I've grown up more than I have in the last 6 years, even though in theory I've been a grown up for a lot longer than that. Gut morgen. Day 4 of #myhousethismonth is my little haven. Overtaken - usually by over affectionate cats and fidgety twins; here is my retreat. Before I had kids I used to spend a lot of time in the bedroom, ohhh error, I hear you sniffer. Well obvs. There was 'that' 🍆too; but I really mean I would often prefer to retreat to my room in adulthood even though I had the rest of my home to relax in. Maybe am just an eternal teenager. Nowadays I read to the kids here and sleep (and the later has only been achieved in the past two years or so! ) Looking forward to having a browse through all your entries. Happy #blackcatday from my very favourite one! Black cats are the least likely to be adopted - possibly because of superstition, and (crazily) more recently because they don't make good social media fodder due to them being hard to photograph. Personally I'm a big fan of being a bit spooky, and for a black blob with eyes I think he takes a rather good picture! I love Eddie Danger to the moon and back, he's the best cat in the world! It's not always obvious on Insta just how big a part of my life he is but he's always here, being adorable and for the most part good! A Brooklyn rowhouse for booklovers and cats

Most of you will know why I wanted to share this post with you. Being a cat mom to many, it's a dream of mine to have a house that coordinates some designs for the cats within the architecture. Design and architecture firm Barker Freeman was asked to convert this Brooklyn rowhouse into a series of lively, light-filled spaces and to provide accommodations for the homeowners two shy but inquisitive cats — including ways for the cats to slip away from unexpected guests. My ferals would totally appreciate that, and they would love this home as much as I would. 

I must point out the fact that the bookshelf wall not only has the top accessible to the cats but they can get up there via shelves that project to create invisible steps.
