An apartment with Scandi feels in Spain

I spotted this super cute 55m² apartment on Nuevo Estilo....it seems Scandinavian style has ventured into Spain too (Durango, Vizcaya in this case). This is such a happy, welcoming apartment that with the help of lots of white and small-scale furnishings, is bright and doesn't appear small. Interior designer David Da Cruz Orío of Cuandodavidllegóadurango made magic happen here.

Peterhof

I wanted to share another project by Hauvette & Madani that I am totally in love with. I am not really a fan of the colour turquoise but OMG it works really well in this apartment. With lots of black and white to keep it grounded and modern, having the same colour scheme run throughout a small space really helps make it seem larger and keeps a nice flow going. And WHOA - check out the dining room ceiling light fixture. How divine!

Pale pink walls

I have been wondering for months what to do with my dining room. Dark? Bright? Wallpaper? I don't have very good recent photos because I hate the room - this one is the most recent that shows a decent amount of the space. (The floors are now stained grey!)  Nothing has really stood out until I suddenly started thinking about pale pink. Then I started thinking about pale pink with dark grey trim. Then I started getting very excited. I am pretty sure pale pink is the route I want to take with the walls (trim will probably just be the same colour or a shade darker so it's not too choppy, and the doors maybe the black blue of the foyer...and not sure about the ceiling). I have been eyeballing Farrow & Ball's Pink Ground, Setting Plaster and Calamine. I think Pink Ground on walls and Setting Plaster on trim could be really gorgeous. I have sent a request for samples so those are on the way. In the meantime, I went looking for inspiration and found all kinds of pretty pinks. And based on the first 2 photos, I think I need heavy velvet burgundy drapes.

Yvonne Koné's shop (Farrow & Ball's Pink Ground) LOOOVE THIS!!! So pretty with grey floors - mine are a couple of shades darker than this.

Hotel Henriette Rive Gauche

It's almost like a drinking game. Colour blocking, dirty pastels, plywood, bedside pendant lights and coloured flex, retro furniture, cane mirrors and rooms with great French bones. Moroccan rugs, kilim chairs, sheepskins, leather gym pads as bedhead and indigo. Linen sheets, palm wallpaper, painted floors, tumbling block tiles and cane saucer chairs. Have we got all the trends covered? Who cares! I love it all! I want it all! Anyone else for a Parisian getaway to Hotel Henriette Rive Gauche?
