A kitchen by Black Lacquer Design

This stunning kitchen has totally made my day. I am often faced with frustration when my husband and I cannot pass each other in our kitchen without knocking something over/stepping on toes and this kitchen is soooo roomy. The mint green cabinet colour is adorable, and paired with that gorgeous encaustic tile floor, brass accents, double doors streaming in light, an office and bar area (what I would use it for anyway)....it has EVERYTHING. By Black Lacquer Design. (Check out a previous feature here).

Sea Cliff home

I tend to love bold colour palettes (ie. dark) but this house has totally thrown me for a loop. I absolutely adore the neutral shades of this home designed by SVZ Interior Design. It is so bright and soothing yet classy and elegant. This project was a full remodel that included a new guest house, master bathroom, kitchen and guest bathrooms. The whole home was refreshed with paint colors and light fixtures as well as a complete furnishing design. The style that the home homeowner wanted was neutral but textural; classic but interesting. We layered many elements of traditional, transitional, modern and eclectic furnishings to make the space feel timeless. (For more of Sayre Victoria Ziskin's work check out this post)

Mondays need coffee

One sure fire cure for Mondayitis is a cup of coffee at your favourite, local cafe. And if my local coffee joint had as much pastel meets subtropical meets neon sign goodness then I might just stay for a second. Hang on .... I stay for a second cup anyway. It's all bright light through shop windows, painterly touches, brass, man buns and La Marzocco at Mr Hoffman in Niddrie, Melbourne by designer Joanne Motee.

Chez Marie-Sixtine

Located at 5 rue de Charonne in Paris is fashion brand Marie-Sixtine's flagship boutique, creative workshop, showroom, and above it all, their highly-exclusive chic hideaway called Chez Marie-Sixtine. One of the most beautiful apartments I have ever seen in pastels and greys, so soothing and inviting. Except I don't think I could ever leave that bedroom. EVER.
