A haunted house

A big thanks to Lisa for sending us this link to a real estate listing in Rosemont, Montréal. This home has got to be haunted! While it needs a SERIOUS amount of TLC, the woodwork is to die for - check out the interior doors! And those chandeliers! The bedroom is my favourite - SPOOKY!

A peek at a Romanian home

Marius sent us a link to a post on Sinziana's blog Visuell that I had to share a little bit of. It's the absolutely dreamy home of Anda Roman, who owns an incredible home furnishings shop in Bucharest, Romania. Sinziana was fortunate to get a personal tour of the home and took some stunning photos. Here is just a peek. Check out her blog post for lots more.

Beanies?

Cute and quirky or just a little OTT? Perhaps a bit of both. Beanies for Panton S chairs or are they woolly jumpers? For when your sleek, clean lined midcentury chairs feel the cold in winter. Part of a fun retail installation by Nicole Hollis.

A wacky apartment

Let me start by saying it has been a long time since we blogged anything this wacky and eclectic. It is a completely renovated 3 story apartment created by Parisian interior architect and designer Carlos Pujol. It is oozing with creativity and whimsy, from the eyeglasses chandelier, to the paint chip staircase, the mass of pendants in the kitchen and pinups in the bathroom. This is definitively not taking interior design too seriously. :)

Seductive Interiors

Interior designer Sera Hersham-Loftus is the queen of romantic, seductive interiors. We love her work so much we've blogged her work several times over the years (here, here, here and here). I was so excited when her goddaughter emailed us with the news that Sera has come out with a book! It's aptly names Seductive Interiors (CICO Books) and it looks fabulous! From the press release: Seductive Interiors displays homes which Sera has decorated as well as those that have simply ‘seduced’ her – each epitomizing the spirit of Sera – which could be described as ‘a heady mix of romanticism, passion, and playfulness.’  Sera likes to live in a loose, informal style that is reflected in her interiors.  Most of her furnishings come from antique markets or vintage shops. Her look is essentially ‘a concoction of enchanting soft lighting, charming antique and bohemian furnishings, oriental bric-a-brac, and more than a teaspoon of The Blues and Rock-‘n’-Roll.’ Essentially, it's HOT STUFF. (Love the photography by Gisela Torres). I need a copy. Find it @ Amazon, Indigo and check out this Sunday Times story about it.
