An eclectic home in France

OMG this home is A M A Z I N G! I spotted it on The Socialite Family and had to share. It is a glorously eclectic home in Nantes, France that has me devouring each space over and over again. I want to commit it to memory and dream about it every night. Yes, I love it that much. (Photos by Constance Gennari)

My favourite home...ever

You may have noticed I love Paris-based magazine MilK - their decor features in particular. I was pretty stoked when I came across the latest issue of MilK Decoration at a local magazine shop a few weeks back. There are lots of fantastic homes inside but one in particular knocked it right out of the ballpark. It is the vacation home of Laurence (co-founder of the shop Serendipity) located on Île de Ré, an island off the west coast of France. This is the home of my dreams - every single inch of it. Ocean views for starters, large windows, high ceilings, wide plank wood flooring, earthy colour palette, beautiful lighting (Jieldé!), raw & natural textures (those linen sofa covers and bedding!), vintage re-purposed items (tubs from washing machines used as bedside tables), large artwork....it is an endless list. If you can find this magazine, BUY IT. It is worth every cent, and more. These photos look even more glorious in print. This has become my new bible. I sleep with it under my pillow. ;) Photos via Karel Balas.

That photo above? That is heaven.

Rooigem House

Like a series of stage sets or a a ramble of rooms filled with one man's dreams and treasure Rooigem House in Sint-Kruis, Belgium is the creation of antiques dealer and designer Jean-Phillipe Demeyer. The medieval manor with moat has been lovingly restored and now is home and business. The riot of colour and pattern and OTT pieces make it a sensory delight. Imagine visiting in real life. Where to look. What to touch.

I want this house

This is the Toronto home of interior designer and architect Stephane Chamard. I think of all the homes I have lost my mind over that I have featured on the blog, this one is my absolute favourite. To take an older home with incredible architectural details and modernize it with gorgeous funky furniture, black paint and amazing lighting and artwork is my dream. I could without a doubt move into this home and not touch a damn thing. It's so fantastic I could cry right now. Stephane, I envy you with every ounce of my being.
