I am absolutely smitten with this home designed by Dutch interior designer Maaike van Diemen. It's what I'm all about - neutrals, lots of textures, funky lighting (OH YES Moooi Dear Ingo suspension lamp), raw wood, white marble, steel, wrinkly linen....so when can I move in???
The morning draws on. The muffled thrum of a neighbour's lawn mower provides the base note to the batting rhythm of a moth against the large window. There is someone somewhere in the house. A staccato of heels, the shudder of an old water pipe. A waft of coffee brewing. It cuts across the scent of gladioli. It is peaceful here. Beautiful. So beautiful. Time hangs still between the slow tock of an old clock. "Do you like my old house?" I turn with a smile and answer her. "Yes. Oh yes, very much."

A mix of art and antiques, the everyday and the comfortable, fabulous and family friendly. Layers of texture and layers of living. Nothing too precious but everything special. A limited colour palette and unlimited style. It's relaxed and nature. It's beautiful rooms by San Francisco interior designers Jute.
This was in our inbox earlier this week ... "Thought you might want to feature this beach house for a property stalking post. I think it's all awesome except the animals on the walls." I happen to agree. I could happily move into this Red Hill South home set on open acres with tennis court and ocean views. Just think I might have to move the zebra and definitely the goat to somewhere less obvious. Perhaps to one of the nearby vineyards. Yes tennis court, ocean views and a short stumble to vineyards. I would normally say "Link here while it lasts" at this point but the link has disappeared. Oh well at least I saved the pictures first. Flamant is a home decor company with shops in Belgium, France, Germany and Italy. They have done some residential interior design projects that are classic, country, Gustavian with bits of modern vintage and contemporary thrown in for good measure. Love the neutral colours, and completely head over heels for the the tiles above.
