A Victorian townhouse in London with mid century touches

I had to share this Victorian townhouse I spotted from the March issue of Homes & Gardens magazine because it's everything I love all mixed together in one gorgeous package. A restored heritage home with traditional details, a neutral colour palette, mid-century furnishings, vintage glam light fixtures, brass accents throughout, a modern custom kitchen and and an outdoor space make this home pretty much perfection. Minimalist extension

Dangar dalliance

I think we should stop imagining and go there in real life. The Dangar Island House, with interiors by Karen McCartney (design author and founding editor of Inside Out) is available for holiday rental. Start packing your bags.

Green with envy

What to do when the house you are refurbishing is perhaps the most beautiful example of Le Corbusier-inspired architecture in Johannesburg? How to breathe new life into an iconic building by local Modernist hero Rex Martienssen? Keep it true, keep it real and let the owner's personality shine through. I'm green with envy over that verdant entry. Greenside Residence by Tonic Design.
