More from Nathalie Rives

"An invitation to live, evolve, share .." It's the philosophy behind the work of Lyon-based interior stylist Nathalie Rives. This apartment with its great bones, a mid-century vibe to the furniture and fabulous art is warm and elegant with bold use of colour and that certain French style. Is it just me, or do you agree, that the French do the sweetest children's rooms?

A home in Portland by Bright Designlab

Loving this mid-century vibe Portland home designed by Bright Designlab. A newlywed couple, came to us having just purchased their home in NE Portland: a completely modernized, traditional Portland home. The scope of the project was to fully furnish the spaces and make their new nest livable, functional; reflecting the couple's undeniable charismatic personality... with room to grow. The shingled home is three stories tall (now with renovated attic floor), and very light, bright, and open, with traditional moldings and details. Bright Designlab pulled together a selection of classic pieces along with handcrafted, vintage and custom furniture to complement.

A brightly coloured condo by Brio Interior Design

I am completely smitten with this Seattle apartment designed by Brio Interior Design. Such fun bright colours in unique conbinations and a midcentury vibe. The clients of this newly built high rise unit only had a few requests when hiring brio interior design to complete the bare bones, empty interior from scratch. The palette should include green and ivory, the art should be local, the sofa must be “nap-able” and there must be a king size bed in the owner’s suite with an upholstered headboard. We chose to infuse the sterile interior with bold color, lush texture, one of a kind custom furnishings and plenty of velvet. The space features artwork by locals including Deanne Belinoff and Paul Edmondson as well as the fine craftsmanship of local woodworkers and furniture makers who built the custom sofa, wall bed/desk, headboard and living room built-ins right here in lovely Seattle. Beautiful Riad

A chill wind is whistling around my house, tugging on windows and licking under doors. I'm cold and miserable and need a little lift. Time for a virtual getaway. Ah Morocco can you get anymore perfect? Sunshine sliding down smooth plaster walls, dappled shadows on plunge pools, mid century classics mixed with medina finds. A beautiful escape to the Beautiful Riad Marrakesh.

A renovated 1940's home in Seattle

When unexpected styles collide. A fabulous home designed by Seattle-based Brio Interior Design. A 1940's home where the client's mother spent her teenage years was purchased from the grandfather's estate shortly after his passing. The purchase and renovation were a way to reinvent history by making an old home new again for the young family who decided the house carried too many precious memories to be sold to the next highest bidder. Perched atop a generously sized waterfront lot in north Seattle with panoramic views of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic mountain range, the aesthetic of the home is classic meets modern and eclectic. It's fun, colorful and whimsical. Perfect for a family that dines most days together in a formal dining room around a table that family members have gathered at for decades to celebrate the best things in life.
