Mid Century Yellow

You know I'm nosey. I like to stalk people's homes online. I like to look in every nook and cranny. The only thing better would be to actually stay in other people's homes and really look in every nook and cranny. I'm smitten by this Chelsea apartment with its fabulous collection of mid century pieces and a yellow kitchen that I never knew I wanted to replicate at my place. It would make the perfect base for any London foray because guess what? It's a vacation rental available through The Plum Guide. You can find out more here

Scandinavian-style guest house in Poland

If modern minimalism is something you're into, which I am because sometimes I just need something that is easy on the eye, then I think you'll dig this guest house in Chociwle, Poland designed by Loft Kolasiński. With a Scandinavian, mid-century feel this dwelling is a tad masculine, a touch funky and a smidge hip. What a cool collection of furnishings from the 30's, 50's, 60's and 70's from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Poland - including a polish HI-Fi stereo from the 80's. I want those sofas soooo badly. (Photos: Karolina Bąk

Rancho Mirage

A stylish, new mid mod pays homage to the oh so cool Palm Springs vibe. Built on Frank Sinatra's old estate there's even a cheeky tribute to ol' blue eyes himself. I'm seriously envious of this weekend getaway. Would you want to leave? Rancho Mirage by Newport Beach based interior designer Brittany Stiles.

More to love from Leanne Ford

I love this limited palette of whites and creams married with the deep warmth of the stained wooden walls. (Great inspiration for those faced with a renovation of retro examples.)  I love the luxury of a thick beni ourain rug against the raw concrete. I love the stone of the kitchen, the handthrown pottery and how the tile runs across the bathroom ceiling. I love the mid century classic pieces and the rough hewn wood. I love it all but then again I have professed my love for everything by L.A. and Pittsburgh-based interior designer Leanne Ford before.
