Working on a Saturday
It's like I always say. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere stylish like this London office by French design firm Festen. Talk about mid century chair porn!

I'm like a child in a candy store. Where do I look first? So much goodness to devour. Mid century furniture, gallery wall, the rugs, fabulous vignettes sprinkled with a great collection of West German pottery. I need to pore over these photos to wring out all the inspiration. In case you don't realise I love this home by interior designer Mikel Irastorza. You can see more of his work here.
I had to share one more project from Serge Castella. A mountain shack with ancient stone walls and heavy beams filled with mid century classics and a modular sofa by a fire that is calling a siren song. "Come to me Jo. Throw your design weary bones down upon me and snuggle in those covers." I, of course, have no resistance. I love this space.
He's the master of mixing eras, of taking a limited palette and adding richness and interest through texture and shape. French-born, Spanish-based Serge Castella's take on mid modern is fresh, artistic and just a little quirky. Who could mix an elegant French commode with Roman amphora and still remain true to the mid mod aesthetic? His background in fashion and antiques is obvious in his interior design work. Stylish, chic and totally individual.
The designers at cityhomeCOLLECTIVE were asked to update the interior of this Tudor home for clients whose style preference is a blend of classic antiques, glam, and mid-century modern. The resulting fusion of these styles is unique and sophisticated. I'm loving the wallpaper choices!
