Heritage House
"This large family home was renovated to blend the Victorian-architecture aesthetic with function for a large family who loves to entertain. The historical charms meld beautifully with contemporary elements and to create a comfortable, modern home."
It's all about simplicity, elegance and authenticity. Contemporary living combined with well chosen antique pieces. Heritage House by Susan Burns Design.
A mid-century renovation in California
A simple, somewhat minimalist, mid-century renovation in Royal Woods, California by 22 INTERIORS. Super bright and modern, I would have loved to see a bit more colour and "stuff", and maybe those ceiling beams left unpainted, but the marble and banquette in the kitchen make up for it. :)
A colourful family home in London
LLI Design recently completed a total redesign and refurbishment of a 7 storey townhouse in Highgate, a leafy and desirable part of London. By changing the dynamics of the spaces involved they maximized the available space creating a colourful and contemporary residence. This award winning project has a harmonious feel as you move up the house, but each floor has its own character. The end result? A warm and inviting family home.
When modern is warm
I had to share another to-die-for home designed by the talented folks of cityhomeCOLLECTIVE. Modern and a bit mid-century, with black and brass accents to add some drama and wood to keep things warm. I want that kitchen soooo badly, but I would settle for the rug in the space above.
