Modern and minimalist Californian renovation 

The renovation and extension (a second floor was added) of this 50s era home saw the floor plan reworked and a modern, minimalist approach taken as to materials and textures. The simple colour palette of white with black accents is warmed by wood giving the rooms an almost Scandi vibe but this is no Nordic abode. The exterior and the pool side are definitely a Californian dream. Green Oak Residence by SIMO Design.

Light and white kitchen

The redesign and extension of this 1750s building by Reed Watts Architects shifted the focus away from a busy road in front towards the rear, opening a kitchen and dining addition onto a more secluded rear courtyard. Bi-fold doors blur the line between inside and out while light floods in from its southerly aspect. Central to all is the simple and stylish kitchen by deVOL. Beautiful inspiration.

Studio apartment kitchen inspiration

Live in a small studio apartment? Basically just one room in which to cram your living sleeping and kitchen? Love to cook but don't want to stare at the kitchen sink while you're reclining on your bed? Rather forget that you live in just that one room?
