I dipped into the portfolio of architects Jackson Clement Burrows again and found a tree house. Rather a house in the trees. Perched above the Great Ocean Road in Victoria with its face turned bravely to the Bass Strait this house harks back to the fibro beach shack of years gone by. The colour choices blend the box like structure into the surrounding bush. Oh the view! I'm daydreaming of catching rays on the cantilever deck or just sitting and watching the waves roll in.
Kathryn Chaplow is an interior designer located in Grand Rapids, Michigan that I discovered a little while ago while surfing the net for people to blog about. Her take on interiors is fairly uncomplicated and understated but that is what makes it work for real people. Sometimes we need to take a break from all these grand designs and appreciate something a little more 'everyday'. And thanks to Kathryn's designs I have a new found love for the colour green.
How cute! How clever! How tiny! Stalking and found this Surry Hills, Sydney terrace. From its bright exterior to its Grant Featherston chairs and vivid green floor, I just want to pinch its chubby tiny house cheeks and kiss it. Definitely stealing that splash back idea. Oooooooooh you little cutie!!!! I just wish there were more pictures. Aussie design mags please do a feature before it's sold ;)
