House in the trees

I dipped into the portfolio of architects Jackson Clement Burrows again and found a tree house. Rather a house in the trees. Perched above the Great Ocean Road in Victoria with its face turned bravely to the Bass Strait this house harks back to the fibro beach shack of years gone by. The colour choices blend the box like structure into the surrounding bush. Oh the view! I'm daydreaming of catching rays on the cantilever deck or just sitting and watching the waves roll in.

Stunning. If I was lucky enough to live here my interior would not be so minimal, but waking up to that view takes some beating.

I don't really care for the outer aesthetic, but the light on the inside is just stunning--and the view can't be beat. Beautiful.

The angles these photos were taken are cool...nevermind the wild structure of the building. Who is lucky enough to live here?

I can't even imagine how amazing it would be to live there...great post.

As a an old boy of Separation Creek I can't help but feel that this monstrosity ruins an otherwise gorgeous location. However, I do realise that my disgust is based on my sentimental love and significant family memories of "Sep" and that the owners of this property should be free to do as they please, within regulations.
I am not impressed but at the same time I am also rather envious.

wow, louvered venetian glass windows in the bathroom ! Now, correct me if things have changed in the last 20 years with global warming and all, but the last time I drove the G.O.road, it was winter and there was a bitter wind blowing onshore. So, do those windows facing the bight close properly, or do the owners face a huge heating bill to compensate those great looking but drafty as hell windows ?
