A bright Tudor Revival in Hancock Park, LA

I wanted to share another project by interior designer Katherine Carter. This 1921, 8,500 sq ft Tudor Revivial in Hancock Park, LA was likely once dark and dreary and is now light-filled and modern yet it maintains some of the original historic details (now covered in white paint it appears). I would have loved seeing some before photos of this one.

Blues and greys in a California home

Neutral tones with accents of blue and grey and weathered wood give this Corona del Mar, California home a beachy vibe. Such a soothing atmosphere, complete with cozy furnishings and lots of patterns for visual interest. I especially love the fabric on the dining chairs...and that beaded chandelier in the dining space. By Brooke Wagner Design

A converted nuns' residence in New York

What would you do with 6,200 square feet of living space in Brooklyn Heights, NY? Interior designer Britt Zunino and architect husband Damian of Studio DB turned what was once the 1830's home to the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor into their new sweet digs for themselves and their 4 children. Lots of modern touches and spaciousness I can only dream of, and a fireplace (original?) in the living room that I almost passed out over when I saw it. Catch more fabulous photos of this dazzling home in the latest issue of Living Etc.

The kitchen of my dreams

Oh my I've died and gone to kitchen heaven. This is it. English country kitchen perfection and ... it's a showroom. We all know I'm smitten by anything that deVOL Kitchens design so it's no surprise that I have been following the fitout of their new Clerkenwell, London showroom on their Instagram account. Pink fireplace wall, handmade green wall tiles, bespoke cabinets in dreamy blue and copper pans hanging on a creamy tongue and groove wall. The little chandelier, majolica plates and vintage portrait are icing on the cake. I couldn't wait for the showroom to turn up on their website. I just had to share their IG posts.

California coastal

California coastal style in a New England home by Kristina Crestin Design. I am not typically a big fan of this style or the colour blue but I am totally smitten with how well put together this living room. I never would have thought to pair aqua blue, olive green and orange/tan together but it's gorgeous - and the art and patterned pillows and rug bring it all together. The bathroom is also pretty fab - modern yet really warm with the addition of golden-toned wood.
