Threshold Interiors took a beautiful Nantucket, MA beach house and turned it into an elegant retreat in shades of white and grey, all the while keeping it comfortable and family-friendly. The kitchen is an absolute dream - love the stove!
Hump day getaway anyone? Rae's on Wategos has been a Byron Bay icon for many years. Now with a recent refurbishment designed by Tamsin Johnson it is even more fabulous. Moorish meets Mediterranean, whitewash meets sand and surf, elegant yet relaxed and all just steps from stunning Wategos Beach on the most easterly point of Australia. I couldn't think of a better virtual escape. Can you?
I think a designer's home tells you more about them than any client work or show home can. An intimate look into their design soul you might say. This is the home of Holly Shipman on Choctawhatchee Bay, Florida. A beach look with an elegant ease. White and bright with pieces carefully acquired over time, lots of simple little treasures close at hand. Relaxed, comfortable, stylish and with meaning.
From its dark panelled public areas and quirky maritime touches to its light and breezy bedrooms with layered bed linens from John Robshaw and Les Indiennes, Greydon House on the island of Nantuket off Cape Cod is the perfect virtual getaway for this hump day Wednesday. I'm fantasizing about strolling through the boutique shops in the morning followed by a long beach walk, warming up by a crackling fire with a drink and a dog eared book before by a fabulous dinner in the restaurant. With interiors by Roman and Williams I don't think I want to wake up from this lovely daydream.
What a fabulous beach house designed by Threshold Interiors! This Jersey Shore Craftsman is so pleasing to the eye with lots of fun touches like graphic floor tile (and fireplace surround), wallpaper (love that Farrow & Ball Aranami pattern in the bathroom), and the bathrooms are absolutely stunning. And what about this kitchen!! Subway tile, copper, and pale grey cabinets make it timeless and polished.
