Art by Ricki Mountain

Ricki Mountain is a very talented artist. She emailed asking if she could add us to her bloglist and after taking a peek at her work, I just had to post it. Her art is sooooo pretty, and I am drawn to the brilliant colours she uses. Here's a sample of her giclees, that you can find at her Etsy shop and on her blog.

Mademoiselle Helenina

Helene Deroubaix of The Fairy Attic sent an email to introduce us to her gorgeous artwork. She is a mixed media artist and poetic writer and combines both of these talents in her art, creating nostalgic visual poetry that I think is adorable. She has photos up on Flickr as well so have a look. Here are some of my favourites.

Amazing photoshop talent

My boyfriend Jeff just sent me this photo and I loved it so much I had to post it. If I didn't already have a mirror I made hanging above my headboard, I would SO love this blown up big on canvas. This is a photo of Erin, the office manager at his work, that was photoshopped by his co-workers Tim and Paul, who are writers. They are working on a website to show their work, and if you have a thing for gore then bookmark their site.

The following is more of a representation of their work, and the only other one I could post that I thought wouldn't freak DTI readers out.

Kenson and Limusine

Jo and I had received an email quite some time ago from these talented artists who sent us photos but we didn't post them because they were in the process of setting up a website and they wanted the site to be up first. I was so excited to have received an email today from Kenson and Limusine with some AMAZING photos and a link to their new site. Here's what they had to say:

We are Kenson and Limusine and are pretty much into murals (graphic design for walls). We like to give a room a 'graphical intervention'. For our latest project we went all out and turned an utterly dark and depressing room into an inspiring and light work-area. From design of the treedesk and closet, up to the mural as the piece de resistance...techniques used : prints, projection, free-paint, posca-markers and lots of human sweat. A graphical intervention of sorts! We also did a toilet makeover...it's on the site.

Greetings, kenson and limusine.

The following photos are of the bathroom makeover they completed as mentionned above.

Art...by Jo

Since Jo is just heading off to work I thought I'd take this opportunity to plug her gorgeous artwork (since she won't be able to check the blog for HOURS). She sent me a package back in April and having FINALLY received it yesterday, it included 4 pieces of art that she drew. They are so amazing and I am so proud of her that I had to post them. I think I may have convinced her to open an Etsy shop so please feel free to leave comments and maybe she'll realize she REALLY REALLY should sell her art. (Sorry about the quality of the photos, it's raining here so I can't get good light).
