This apartment by Messana O'Rorke combines loft space and the renovation of of an existing sprinkler tank house into an urban retreat. A spiral staircase leads to the roof top terrace and THAT tank house. Love it all. So want to live here!

Living Homes is a company based in California that designs modern and ecological prefab homes. The photos featured here are of the 2500 sq foot three-storey home of founder Steve Glenn, of which 70% was completed in one day. Yep, ONE DAY.

Voon Wong and Benson Saw are based out of London and specialize in interior and architecture design and produce furniture, lighting and accessories. They were featured in the April issue of Elle Decoration. Their website has stunning photos of their work...these are my favourites.

Kennedy Nolan

Australian architectural firm Kennedy Nolan is "dedicated to the production of architecture that is highly responsive to its context. Much of the work seeks to form a strong relationship with landscape, whether it is a dense urban environment or a rural or coastal area." Materials, colour, site relationships, sculptural form are all pivotal in their work.

Eldridge Smerin

This is the work of London architects and designers Eldridge Smerin. The first is a 3 storey extension to a Victorian building with narrow planes of glass allowing light and views. Look closely at the staircase - individually laminated sheets of timber gently curving to form the stair. And the last images reveal their mastery of the juxtaposition of mass and void, nature and modernism. Breathtaking spaces.
